EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
STEPPINGSTONE ENTERPRISES is dedicated to providing the best and most current information
available regarding emergency preparedness and disaster management practices, trends, and
technologies.  Most of these "steppingstones" will be available to you free of charge as they
are all too important to not share and share widely.

Throughout the pages of this site, you will find references to various websites, events, articles,
charts, and reports, along with recommended books, documentaries, and magazines, that are
all intended to inform our visitors and clients about all the pressing emergency preparedness
issues at hand.

As a citizen, business owner, government employee, or first responder, it is in our best
interests (as "neighbors") to quickly and appropriately respond to emergency situations, and
their respective short- and long-term impacts on our lives.   In light of the less than lackluster
state and federal responses to hurricanes Katrina and Rita in September of 2005, it is a fair
conclusion that, in the event of another large scale disaster, cities (and their inherent
residents) may in fact be “on their own”.  This would seem to be true, at least until the
corresponding higher level of government decides to provide adequate resources and funding,
whether that be hours, days, weeks or even months after the initial emergency occurs.

Hopefully, you will not only do your part to prepare yourselves but also empower others to get
informed and
do the same.  It is our firm belief that personalized proactive emergency
preparedness programs should be developed and implemented with all due diligence in order
to provide a greater sense of safety and security in the face of a disaster.  We are here to help
individuals, non-profit entities, private businesses, and pubic agencies through this process...
case by case and step by step.

We sincerely appreciate your patronage and wish you all the best in your endeavors to help
build better communities, and ultimately a better planet.  T
